Forged at Nightshade Metalcraft from a used, battered railroad spike, quenched at nighttime in cold, simple well water drawn from the land where the smithy building resides. Double-edged, but unsharpened.
I kept the black scale from forging so that it can be used as a Black Knife as well as a broader-purposed athame, while grinding the bevels bright.
